The acquisition of a residence abroad, for seasonal use or durable residence, cannot be improvised.
Depending on your age, your family situation and the nature of your patrimony, your project will take different aspects.
For a European who wishes to acquire property in Morocco, three objectives could be foreseen:
- The acquisition of a secondary residence. Intended for occasional stays, it will have a "tourism" facet and may be rented, when you should not be using it, to foreign clients. You will also have the eventual possibility to resell your property at some point, should you wish to benefit from its appreciation.
- Invest in a property to be let. You can have an income complement, which may initially be used to balance a loan you may have raised and thereafter, as complement to your finances. Your tenants may be Moroccan residents, expatriates…
- Invest for your retirement. You buy with the idea of spending a substantial part of your time there when you retire, enjoying the advantages provided by the country (cost-of-living, climate, tax system…).
Depending on your project, you will focus on different regions, kinds of real estate and locations. You should be the one to analyse your needs, eventually with the assistance of our adviser.
